VS farm will affect economy, not by that spear drop, but by Onyx and diamond price. They were already cheap enough, but now. People, who have already got all destroyer weapons, sell them to trader, and they price drop, because no-one buys them, because all farm VS. So, people bought DW soon after GW:En, will lose around 10-35k/purchased weapon.

Another that will effect economy, is gold weapon's drop.
Their price will
1) Drop, since people sell unid golds from VS.

2) Drop even harder, even indefed ones. From CofS you can get VS, Diamond aegis, Amethyst aegis, and iridescent aegis for example. These items price has dropped, and countitues dropping every day.

Conclusion: VS, Amethyst Aegis and other fancy weapons, including DW, price will drop, but it won't cause big losses.

Something what ANet could/should do: Remove wall only after every party member has opened dungeon chest.

Nice. I'm glad I never got the destroyer weapons when they came out.

Then again, I can say this about every flashy once-expensive item in Guild Wars.

I will agree that the price of onyxs and diamonds have gone down, but imo they are not ecto so meh :P

Here come the how XXXXX is destroying the GW economy. It started with the invinci-monk, moved on through various other builds, most recently SF ecto farmer, and now sits firmly on VS farming.

Listen as soon as they nerf a particular farm a new one will pop up and in a few weeks so will this thread.

Who cares if the game is not about the grind anyway ANET should be glad the prices are dropping.

Me IDK about farming anymore i'm rich

. and the funny thing is I got that way with one extremely lucky drop doing a FoW clear for my HoM statue

There's no reason for this thread. There was no reason for all the whining and moaning threads about Ursan, about SF, about the economy, about whatever the big "oh em gee, killinZ prizes uf itums!" for the month was.

Elemental Swords were absolutely wrecked in this manner. Difference is there's no way of getting VS as rapidly or as consistently. Will prices go down? Yeah, but will they drop so low that you'll start seeing scrubs carrying them around everywhere? Nah.

More importantly, and relevantly, why complain about this? Whenever a "new" farm comes out, you inherently have two choices: do the farm and see if you get anything out of it (whether fun, items, gold, anything) or ignore the farm and do what you did before.

To answer your question, how is VS farm going to affect GW economy? VS prices and the already crap rare mats that drop out of those chests will drop some. OH NOES. END OF ECONOMY.

Seriously, I don't understand all of these "economy" threads. It's really not like it affects your gameplay in the slightest. Get over it.

I like Vs farm, its make fancy weapon availabe for all.

The quest is : why can't i have a VS.

Imo, all (i mean all) skin should drop everywhere.

Voltaic price will drop but i won't see it plunge to a price of less then 50k at least for a q13
cuz even tho you can farm them the drop rate is quite low i think
i think each day about 10 vs's are earned this way
and i think that now the monthly update will nerf the farm
how, i don't know sure, i have a few suspicions on how they'll nerf it but i'm not going to panic about it

on a sidenote
it's mainly decided by personal taste
offcourse you would choose a ferrari over a normal little car that has nothing special to it
voltaic has a nice skin and alot of people want it for the skin and showoff
i wear some high end stuff myself but only because i like it
and i will continue searching for exotic weaponry for my own good looking and none other

Don't know about flaming but what if anything are you advocating.

Every player action farming buying selling hoarding etc will affect the economy.

The Economy is only considered broken by those who lose either a favourite way they made lots of money or by the devaluing of a large stock of something they had hoarded.

To both I say Tough that's the chance anyone of us takes by playing the GW equivalent of the stock market.

I mean, the ones that were complaining about actual, sizable, price drops were stupid enough (because lower prices are good), but this one... I want my 20 seconds back.

Weps are related to GW2 so almost everyone would like to have them. I'm not sure but I don't think anet would want half of the players not to have them
When I crafted my set a paid ~45k for each but I don't feel tricked or something. I knew the price will drop rapidly

I don't believe price of gold items (exc. VS) will drop either. I think on average you can get 20-30 golds a day... 5k=7 is for months now

If the VS farm killed the economy (trying not to laugh here) what will the Tormented Weapons do to the economy? Players have to pick, HoM with Destroyer weapons (ugly skin imho) or tormented weapons (decent skin, I like the wand and focus but rest I feel nothing, still better then Destroyer crap.)

Everyone takes Necro as secondary and bring a vampiric weapon to commit suicide so they can provide bodies for those on other side of wall.

I dont think VS prices will drop much. They don't drop very often anyway...They *might* be 100k by the end of the year, I doubt it

get over it, yes your amethyst will worth nothing but still looks nice (at least for me) if you paid 60k+ for it, too bad for you, is a fact that gw "rare" drops most of the time lose their value,

so, if you cant against them (the farmers) join them, and at least get some good drops or some gold while you can and please stop moaning
